Kelvin Robinson
What’s up, guys! My name is Kelvin, and I’m a future math educator who is passionate about helping young people build confidence in their abilities and reach their full potential. I enjoy mentoring students, motivating them to pursue their goals, and creating a positive environment where learning and growth can thrive. When I’m not in school, I love weightlifting, watching The Office, hanging with friends, and cheering on my favorite college team, the LSU Tigers.

Joybora Robinson
Hey y’all! I’m Joybora, and I’m passionate about helping students grow and succeed through education and encouragement. I’m currently pursuing my nursing degree. I love inspiring young people to push themselves and believe in what they’re capable of achieving. I enjoy creating fun and engaging learning experiences by challenging students with trivia games like Kahoot and Jeopardy, as well as relay-style competitions that make learning exciting and interactive. I love reading, watching shows like Stranger Things and Grey’s Anatomy, and spending time at cookouts — especially when grilled hot dogs are on the menu.

Hey! My name is Tierra, and I’m passionate about helping others grow and succeed. I believe strongly in leading by example and being someone young people can depend on for encouragement and guidance. I work as both a hair stylist and a realtor, and I truly enjoy connecting with people and helping them feel confident in themselves. I’m a faith-based person who loves helping others, listening to music, and spending peaceful days relaxing at the beach. I’m also a proud mom to my son, Kaiden. When I’m not working or mentoring, you can probably find me laughing at my favorite movie, White Chicks, or enjoying time with family and friends.
Jean Williams “Mr. J”
What’s up, good people! I’m Jean, but most know me as “Mr. J.” I grew up in Miami and now call Statesboro home. I’m currently pursuing my degree in elementary education at Georgia Southern University and plan to continue my education with a master’s in counseling as I work toward becoming a school guidance counselor. I’m an elementary Specials/Connections teacher focused on Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and mentorship is a big part of who I am. I also lead an after-school boys mentoring group called Boys Who Lead, where I focus on building character, leadership, and purpose in young men. I’m passionate about creating spaces where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to be their best. When I have free time, I enjoy being in the water, traveling, laughing, and singing with my choir, United Voices.

Simone Douglas, M.S.
Hey everyone! My name is Simone, and I love being someone students can laugh with, learn from, and feel comfortable around. I’m passionate about creating positive and supportive spaces where young people can be themselves, build confidence, and know they always have someone cheering them on. I believe mentorship is all about genuine connections, encouragement, and helping students realize how capable they really are. When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me spending time with my children, listening to music, coloring, scrolling Pinterest or TikTok for inspiration, or doing something that keeps me active and inspired. I’m big on good energy, authenticity, and making people feel seen and supported.

Raven Murphy
Fun Fact: I believe no day is bad if there’s good food involvedHi, I’m Raven! I’m currently a 2nd-grade teacher with experience teaching both 1st and 2nd grade. I love helping young students learn in creative and engaging ways through hands-on activities, games, and interactive lessons that make learning exciting.
I’m known for my sense of humor, patience, and ability to make my students feel encouraged and confident every day. Outside of education, I enjoy shopping, going to the beach, and spending time with my family.

I’m a proud mom of two little boys and a mentor to many students who lovingly call me their “school mom.” I graduated from Fort Valley State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2016, and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Elementary Education at Georgia Southern University, with plans to graduate in May 2027. I’m passionate about supporting and encouraging young people, especially in a world where today’s youth face so many pressures and challenges. I believe strong, supportive leadership can make a lasting difference, and I strive to positively impact as many students as possible. My mentoring style is fun, caring, supportive, and genuine, while also emphasizing accountability, growth, and handling business when needed. Outside of mentoring, I love shopping and decorating my home.
Me’yon Wilson
Hey y’all! My name is Me’yon, and I’m someone who truly enjoys learning, growing, and finding new ways to inspire others. I’m passionate about helping people discover their purpose, build confidence, and recognize their value in the world. I graduated from Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in 2025 and consider myself a “Renaissance woman” because I enjoy exploring a wide range of talents and opportunities. I’m a funeral service provider, hairstylist, self-published author, music artist, and the owner of Error Proof Cleaning Co. and The Millennial Way salon. My mentoring style is gentle, open-minded, and encouraging. I believe young people deserve support, resources, and motivation to discover and fuel their purpose while becoming the best versions of themselves.

Aysha Scott, M.S.
Hola! My name is Aysha Scott, and I’m a proud mom to one wild little boy. I earned my Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education from East Georgia State College before attending “THE FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY,” where I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I later earned my master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development from Capella University and am currently pursuing a degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with the goal of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). I’m passionate about empowering youth to recognize their potential and make positive choices that shape their future. My mentoring style is fun, supportive, encouraging, and goal-oriented. I enjoy motivating others, sharing educational tips and resources, and helping young people recognize their strengths and abilities. Outside of mentoring, I enjoy spending time with my son, cooking, and searching for new perfumes.

Hi everyone, I’m Jahz! I currently work in healthcare administration, focusing on billing and finance, while completing my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. My mentoring style is supportive, encouraging, and easy-going. I enjoy connecting with others through humor and creating a space where young people feel comfortable, motivated, and understood. My long-term goals are centered around law, education, and contributing to meaningful change within Black and underserved communities. One of my favorite quotes is, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. When the student is truly ready, the teacher will disappear.”

Rod Patterson
What’s going on, y’all! My name is Rod, and my mentoring style can be summed up in one word: discipline. I grew up in a single-parent household and faced adversity throughout my life, so I understand what it feels like when things get hard. That’s why I believe in meeting young people where they are without judgment while encouraging them to keep pushing forward. After spending two years at a traditional college, I found a different path and earned my electrical degree from Southeastern Technical College in 2014. Since then, I’ve spent over a decade in trucking and logistics and now own both a trucking company and a tech company. I want students to understand that success doesn’t look the same for everyone, and your background can become your greatest advantage. My mentoring style is real, relatable, and motivational. Outside of mentoring, I’m a family man and a creative at heart with deep roots in music.

Hey guys! My name is Sophia, and I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Higher Education. My mentoring style is encouraging, understanding, and growth-focused. I strive to create a positive and supportive environment where young people feel comfortable being themselves while developing confidence, accountability, and leadership skills. I enjoy cooking, community engagement, creative projects, and spending quality time with family. I am passionate about helping others recognize their value, discover their potential, and pursue their goals with confidence. I am excited to be part of Next Generation Scholars and look forward to encouraging, supporting, and empowering the next generation of leaders.
